Insights for November 2024

QUOTES FOR NOVEMBER 2024

This is an extreme time of change and is very challenging for many of us. Please see my post https://www.theinsightcenter.net/blog/post-election-11062024 of November 7, 2024, in response to the U.S. election. I offered free one-hour consultations to anyone who needed help processing, and all the available appointments have been booked. I continue to have opening for Comprehensive Astrology Readings and Reiki/Intuitive Healing sessions. I am grateful to be able to offer my assistance and grateful for the heartfelt responses. I think it is important to look at the U.S.A. astrology chart for reference on what is happening and look at our own charts to understand our own journeys/karma/role. I don’t look specifically at politician’s chart – nor make predictions about them. Please continue to check my Newsletters as I may post more information about the U.S.A chart.

In the meantime, I share with you my usual collection of insights and wisdom that I have gathered in the past month. I wish you all the very best.

AWAKENING

“A highly sensitive person

becomes overwhelmed not

because they cannot process information but due to the

depth of their processing.” Realizedempath

“Here is the challenge for you to contemplate today: are you going to vibrate at your frequency or theirs?” The Insight Center

“As we transform our own experience and relationship to our realities, we cannot help but affect those around us in radiating circles into the larger culture. These moments of freedom and transformation begin to change and elevate the consciousness and awareness of the world.” Larry Yang

“If you don’t know what to do, look outside and see what the trees are doing.” The Insight Center

“Underneath all the drama, the restlessness, the hopes and fears, behind the narratives we weave about ourselves, and even before we've thought of ourselves as ourselves, lies a simple, unadorned awareness.” Andrew Olendzki, "Keep It Simple"

“You can't be real and likeable at the same time. The very energy of being real exposes everything that is not genuine and authentic. A real person is very clear about what they want and who they are which is very hard to come by in the world we live in. Like the majority they don't mold themselves according to others, they remain authentic and sovereign. When you become absolutely anchored in your truth, you no longer have any image to maintain. You no longer do things because it's expected from you, real energy doesn't operate in obligation. A real soul is fierce, blunt and courageous.” Pawan Nair | The Higher Self

“Courage means doing the right thing, even though we are afraid.” Seth Zuihō Segall

‘Whenever we fear something, if we avoid it the fear only grows. The more that we avoid the thing that we're afraid of, the more the fear grows and grows and then finally becomes something that we can't face at all, ever. The only way to break through that fear is by doing the thing we're afraid of, over and over and over, in an intensive way.

So, for example, if you're afraid of getting on an elevator, the way to face that fear is to get on an elevator. Maybe you'll have someone accompany you so you don't have to do it alone, but you'll get on the elevator and you'll be terrified. And if you stay on that elevator for an hour or an hour and a half, going up and down, eventually the fear begins to fade away and you can be calm in it. If you go in the elevator again the next day, the fear will come back. And again, you have to ride that elevator for 40, 50, 60, 90 minutes. But if you keep doing this day after day after day, eventually you'll find you're able to get on an elevator again. The fear—psychologists use the word—extinguishes: it disappears, it dissipates.

That's always the case when we face our fear and find that nothing terrible happens to us: the fear begins to fade away.” Seth Zuihō Segall

“It takes courage to follow our path of truth - and yes this is harder for some people than others.” The Insight Center

HEALING

“Lift your discomfort or unease up and out of your energy system, body, and spirit. Look at it and see it for what it is and let it go.” The Insight Center

ASTROLOGY

Pluto moves into Aquarius November 20 - for almost two decades

Saturn goes direct15 November 15

Mercury retrogrades on November 25

Mars retrogrades on 6 December in Leo

“Do you know the progressed sun and moon placements in your chart - showing you the phase of your soul’s journey? Do you know your partner/spouses’!?! It’s incredibly helpful. You could be in an intense growth phase, and your partner could be in a very quiet internal phase. Profoundly different.  A reading of your two progressed charts will quickly reveal this information.” The Insight Center

VIPASSANA MEDITATION:

“The first thoughts that arise in meditation are current thoughts that are forefront in your consciousness. Look at them, see them, note them, and let them pass away. It’s always interesting to me to see what these first thoughts are.” The Insight Center

GRIEF

“My friends, do not lose heart. We were made for these times. I have heard from so many recently who are deeply and properly bewildered... Ours is a time of almost daily astonishment and often righteous rage over the latest degradations of what matters most....

You are right in your assessments.... Yet, I urge you, ask you, gentle you, to please not spend your spirit dry by bewailing these difficult times. Especially do not lose hope. Most particularly because, the fact is that we were made for these times. Yes. For years, we have been learning, practicing, been in training for and just waiting to meet on this exact plain of engagement.

—Clarissa Pinkola Estés "Letter to a Young Activist During Troubled Times"

“To be lost is not an end, but a beginning - a canvas blank and waiting

and in the wilderness of the unknown, we find our true selves and forge our own way.

lost is not a destination, it's a first step forward.” aolanow

Grief, I've learned, is really just love.

It's all the love you want to give but cannot.

All of that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest.

Grief is just love with no place to go.

Maya Angelou – thegoodquote

Fall, leaves, fall

Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;

Lengthen night and shorten day;

Every leaf speaks bliss to me

Fluttering from the autumn tree.

I shall smile when wreaths of snow

Blossom where the rose should grow;

I shall sing when night's decay

Ushers in a drearier day.

Emily Bronte

“Our universe has a powerful characteristic of ever-present change. This is visible in every layer of existence. No matter where you look, impermanence is an inescapable law. Within this river of change you can see that movement makes it possible for there to be a flow of creation and destruction, beginnings and endings – everything that arises eventually passes away.” Yung Pueblo

“Is it a relief, when the leaf

Falls away from the tree?

Is it sad to leave?

Or is it finally free?” Lily Pad poems

ENGAGED BUDDHISM

"Politics in America is confusing and often discouraging. Clearly no single party has a corner on the market of compassion, wisdom, or corruption. Imperfect though our representative democracy is, it has the potential for self-correction. But only through our investment in it.

Gandhi, in speaking of social action said, 'What you do may seem insignificant, but it's very important that you do it' Important, I think, not only for the political system, but for us as individuals. For we become free through playing our part in the dance of life by the honoring of our incarnation in all its aspects, including the political one." Ram Dass, from an election-time newspaper ad in New Mexico in the '70's.

“Every age, every culture, every custom and tradition has its own character, its own weakness and its own strength, its beauties and ugliness; accepts certain sufferings as matters of course, puts up patiently with certain evils. Human life is reduced to real suffering, to hell, only when two ages, two cultures and religions overlap. A man of the Classical Age who had to live in medieval times would suffocate miserably just as a savage does in the midst of our civilisation. Now there are times when a whole generation is caught in this way between two ages, two modes of life, with the consequence that it loses all power to understand itself and has no standard, no security, no simple acquiescence.” Herman Hesse
